美食美酒的盛会:西班牙美食美酒开放日活动在北京成功举办


中国北京,2024 年 9 月 23 日,西班牙对外贸易发展和投资局(ICEX)和西班牙农业渔业和食品部(MAPA)在北京成功举办了第 18 届开放日、第二届 #SpainFoodNation 峰会和首届品味西班牙活动,吸引了150多名消费者和 400 多名专业人士。

在北京举办的 “开放日 ”活动中,25 家西班牙参展商提供了丰富多样的产品,包括葡萄酒、烈酒、橄榄油、伊比利亚火腿、醋、罐装蔬菜、鹰嘴豆、豆类、胡椒、芦笋、香肠、曼彻哥奶酪和伊比利亚猪肉。此外,“品味西班牙 ”活动还吸引了三家参展商在中国积极寻找进口商,进一步扩大了合作机会。

开放日是在中国推广西班牙食品和葡萄酒的主要活动,极大地促进了西班牙美食和产品在中国市场的知名度和销售。北京开放日的亮点展示了多样化的产品和吸引业内专业人士参与的活动:


新闻午餐会和新闻发布会
作为开放日的开场活动,我们与当地媒体举行了新闻发布会,为行业媒体创造了一个沟通交流的空间,并介绍了本次活动的亮点。会上,西班牙驻华大使馆一等经济商务参赞方少龙先生就本次活动的目标及其对中国市场的意义发表了重要观点。西班牙驻华大使 玛尔塔-贝坦佐斯-罗伊格 女士 参观了参展商展台,了解了他们的产品,并对他们为在中国推广西班牙美食所做的贡献表示肯定和感谢。她借此机会了解了更多关于他们在市场上的经历以及他们展示西班牙烹饪传统的方式。


尊享品鉴班:西班牙美食之旅
开放日的另一个亮点是由关钠文主持的 “西班牙美食之旅 ”研讨会。这个引人入胜的环节带领超过30位与会者游览了西班牙的四个标志性地区: 塞维利亚、马德里、巴塞罗那和圣塞巴斯蒂安,探索西班牙地区美食的多样性。参与者有机会品尝三款优质葡萄酒:D.O.Cava Sierra D]de Guadalupe Cava BRUT 2022、D.O.Calatayud Langa Pasion 2020和D.O.La Mancha Aires del Sur 2021。
除了西班牙美食和葡萄酒展览外,2024北京开放日还举办了三场大师班:
FWS西班牙美食美酒大师班
FWS大师班吸引了70多名参与者,重点展示了西班牙美食的丰富风味和复杂细节。它以橄榄油、奶酪,火腿和酸奶为特色,并精选了五种不同的葡萄酒,每种葡萄酒代表不同的原产地保护标志(DOP)。
刘畅和关娜文女士主持了一场详细的品酒会,他们不仅介绍了开放日上各种食物的特点,还探讨了它们与不同葡萄酒的潜在搭配。参与者了解了橄榄油的提取过程、西班牙橄榄油的独特品质以及如何正确品尝,并品尝了两种橄榄油:Picual和Arbequina。会议还讨论了jamón的特点,包括各种猪品种、dehesa生态系统和ibérico标签的颜色编码。与会者探讨了常见的奶酪类型及其相应的DOP,深入了解了西班牙多样化的乳制品。葡萄酒部分强调了西班牙葡萄酒的特点,包括关键品种以及PDO和IGP名称的重要性,而参与者则喜欢与橄榄油和火腿等精选食物一起品尝葡萄酒,从而增强了他们的整体体验。
西班牙跨行业葡萄酒组织(OIVE) 葡萄酒大师班
西班牙跨行业葡萄酒组织(OIVE)举办了一场葡萄酒大师班,展示了来自西班牙不同葡萄酒产区和葡萄品种的六款葡萄酒。在 Dorian Tang 的带领下,70多位与会者有机会探索西班牙葡萄酒的多样性。
伊比利亚猪肉产业联合组织(ASICI)大师班
伊比利亚猪肉产业联合组织(ASICI)举办了一场别开生面的大师班,重点探讨如何将伊比利亚火腿融入中餐。这堂名为 “唤醒你的伊比利亚感官 ”的课程以独特产品的切片艺术和感官品尝为中心。这次非同寻常的活动由伊比利亚猪肉协会副会长 Jesús Pérez Aguilar 主持,让与会者探索了伊比利亚火腿的迷人世界。超过60多为与会者学习了如何通过切片的基本艺术来区分这种著名的美食并提升其风味。
品尝会以唤醒所有感官的感官品尝为特色,让每个人都能体验到伊比利亚火腿的丰富风味和口感。每一片切片都是一次绝佳的美食体验,展示了这一美食瑰宝背后的艺术魅力。

在开放日上成功举办了首届 “品味西班牙 ”活动,三家西班牙公司--Bodegas Yuntero、Gourmapes 和 Familia Martínez Bujanda 介绍了自己的产品,并寻求潜在的进口商。

在整个活动期间,宾客们有幸目睹了技艺精湛的火腿切片师的艺术风采,他雕刻并展示了最上乘的西班牙火腿。此外,还有一个充满活力的Tapas美食角,由获得“西班牙餐厅RFS”认证的布朗石餐厅提供一系列西班牙小菜供来宾品尝和享用。


最后的抽奖环节,有10名幸运者在一场引人入胜的在线迷你游戏中获胜。获奖者收到了一篮子诱人的西班牙产品,非常适合与朋友分享!篮子里包括一系列伊比利亚肉、饼干,曼彻戈奶酪、蜜饯、橄榄、一瓶葡萄酒和#SpainFoodNation的礼品袋。

此外,还有三场弗拉门戈表演,将西班牙舞蹈的韵律带到北京。

Beijing, China, 23rd September 2024- ICEX Spain Trade & Investment and MAPA (Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food) successfully held the 18th Open Day, the second edition of #SpainFoodNation Summit, and the 1st Taste Spain, attracting more than 150 consumers and over 400 professionals. 

The Open Day in Beijing showcased 25 Spanish exhibitors, offering diversed products, including wines, spirits, olive oil, Iberico ham, vinegars, canned vegetables, chickpeas, beans, peppers, asparagus, premium canned food, fuet, a variety of cheeses, and Ibérico pork. Additionally, the Taste Spain event featured three exhibitors actively seeking importers in China, further expanding opportunities for collaboration.

The Open Days serve as premier events for promoting Spanish foods and wines in China, significantly enhancing the visibility and distribution of Spanish gastronomy and products within the Chinese market. Highlights from the Open Day in Beijing showcase the diverse offerings and engaging activities that brought together industry professionals:

PRESS LUNCHEON & PRESS CONFERENCE
To start the Open Day, a press conference was held with local media, creating a space to connect with industry media and present the event's highlights. During the conference, Mr. Alfonso Noriega, the Chief Economic and Trade Counsellor from the Spanish Embassy in China, shared important perspectives about the goals of the event and its significance for the Chinese market. H.E. Marta Betanzos Roig, Ambassador of Spain in P.R. China, visited the exhibitors, engaging in discussions about their products and expressing her enthusiasm for the contributions each brings to the promotion of Spanish gastronomy in China. She took the opportunity to learn more about their experiences in the market and the ways they are showcasing Spanish culinary heritage.

MINI SEMINARS SPAIN FOOD TOUR
One highlight of the Open Day was the "Spain Food Tour" seminar, led by Guan Nawen. This engaging session took 30 participants on a journey through four iconic regions of Spain: Seville, Madrid, Barcelona, and San Sebastian, exploring the diversity of regional Spanish cuisine. Participants had the opportunity to taste three fine wines: D.O. Cava Sierra de Guadalupe Cava Brut 2022, D.O. Calatayud Langa Pasion 2020, and  D.O. La Mancha Aires del Sur 2021.

In addition to the exhibition of Spanish food and wine, and the MiniSeminars, the Open Day Beijing 2024 featured three masterclasses:

FOODS AND WINES FROM SPAIN (FWS) MASTERCLASS

The FWS Masterclass attracted more than 70 participants, focusing on showcasing the rich flavors and intricate details of Spanish gastronomy. It featured segments on olive oil, cheese, and ham, along with a selection of five different wines, each representing distinct Protected Designations of Origin (DOP). 


Liu Chang and Ms. Guan Nawen facilitated a detailed tasting session, where they not only described the characteristics of the various foods featured at the Open Day but also explored their potential pairings with different wines. Participants learned about the oil extraction process, the unique qualities of Spanish olive oil, and how to properly taste it, sampling two varieties: Picual and Arbequina. The session also covered the characteristics of jamón, including the various pig breeds, the dehesa ecosystem, and the color-coding of ibérico labels. Attendees explored common cheese types and their corresponding DOPs, gaining insight into Spain's diverse dairy offerings. The wine segment highlighted the features of Spanish wines, including key varietals and the significance of PDO and IGP designations, while participants enjoyed tasting the wines alongside the selected foods, such as olive oil and ham, enhancing their overall experience.

OIVE MASTERCLASS
A wine masterclass organized by the Interprofesional del Vino de España (OIVE) was held, featuring six wines from various Spanish wine regions and grape varieties. Led by Dorian Tang, this session provided the 70 attendees with an opportunity to explore the diversity of Spanish wines.

ASICI MASTERCLASS
A unique masterclass focused on explaining the unique characteristics was conducted by ASICI (Interprofessional Association of Iberian Pork). The session, called “Awaken Your Iberico Sense”, was centered on the Art of Slicing and Sensory Tasting of a Unique Product. This extraordinary event led by Jesús Pérez Aguilar, Deputy Director of ASICI, allowed participants to explore the fascinating world of Jamón Ibérico. Over 60 participants learned how to differentiate this renowned delicacy and enhance its flavor through the essential art of slicing.
The session featured an engaging sensory tasting that awakened all the senses, allowing everyone to experience the rich flavors and textures that make Jamón Ibérico exceptional. Each slice provided a great gastronomic experience, showcasing the artistry behind this culinary treasure.

TASTE SPAIN
The inaugural Taste Spain event at an Open Day in China was successfully organized, with three Spanish companies—Bodegas Yuntero, Gourmapes, and Familia Martínez Bujanda—who presented their products and sought potential importers. 


FOOD CORNER DEMONSTRATIONS AND FLAMENCO PERFORMANCE
Throughout the entire event, guests had the pleasure of witnessing the artistry of a skilled Cortador de Jamón, who carved and presented the finest Spanish hams. Additionally, a vibrant Tapas Corner prepared by Restaurants from Spain Certified Brownstone Restaurant from Beijing was available, offering an array of Spanish small plates for guests to savor and enjoy. 
There was also a lucky draw with 10 winners, featuring an engaging online mini-game. The winners received an attractive basket of Spanish products, perfect for sharing with friends! The baskets included a selection of iberico meats, picos, Manchego cheese, preserves, olives, a bottle of wine, and a promotional bag from #SpainFoodNation. On top of that, there were three Flamenco Performances, bringing the rhythm of Spanish dance to Beijing. 

The Open Day in Beijing was a big success, bringing together food enthusiasts, industry professionals, and cultural ambassadors to celebrate the heritage of Spanish food and beverage products. With engaging masterclasses, entertaining performances, and a diverse range of culinary products, the event not only showcased the flavors of Spain but also fostered connections within the agri-food industry. As participants left with new knowledge and inspiration, the Open Day reinforced the growing appreciation for Spanish gastronomy in China, setting the stage for future collaborations and cultural exchanges.
